CAS New York Fall Clean Up
Team members Jessica Beach, Ray Ciccarelli, Jordan Ramsay, and Geral Smith (not pictured) of CAS New York, along with Kellen Leone of Park Central Tax Office, enjoyed an extraordinarily warm and beautiful fall day on November 4th as they once again assisted with the fall yard clean-up at a Heritage Christian Services group residence. This endeavor originated in conjunction with the United Way’s Day of Caring which is held every spring, and has continued to be an enjoyable spring and fall experience for the entire CAS team. The team spent the day mulching, trimming, raking, and weeding, and were treated to a delicious lunch at the residence as well. We couldn’t have asked for better weather or a better day!
CAS is proud to support the community in which we reside. We look forward to future outings that connect our team with those for whom assistance is greatly needed.
NCH Hospital Ball
Ciccarelli Advisory Services, Inc. is pleased to be a presenting sponsor of the 57th Annual NCH Hospital Ball, to be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at The Ritz Carlton Beach Resort in Naples, Florida. We are honored to have as Chairs of this year’s event, our own Kim Ciccarelli Kantor and Jan Kantor, both who have a long history of philanthropic interests.
Each year, the proceeds raised through support of the NCH Ball help to fund various projects of the NCH Healthcare system, a non-profit organization helping to provide care to those in need. Over $7,000,000 has been raised to date, adding valuable equipment and services to our community.
This year’s NCH Ball will benefit the NCH Foglia Comprehensive Stroke Center. In 2014, our Hospital treated over 700 patients who showed symptoms of, or who experienced a full blown stroke. It is the primary cause of severe long-term disability and the 4th leading cause of death within the U.S. Each year, stroke affects over 795,000 Americans, with over 130,000 deaths[1]. The costs also add up. Costs in the U.S. alone, total an estimated $34 billion each year[2]. Stroke is not discriminatory, giving no distinction to ethnicity, gender or even age. It can affect everyone and anyone. The need, therefore, for a state of the art stroke care center in Collier County is crucial. The proceeds will specifically benefit the addition of a new bi-plane to the NCH North Campus to ensure the provision of timely stroke care.
The Ball will feature a night of dinner and dancing and live and silent auctions to raise money to fund this year’s mission. Anyone who wishes to support the event and its mission are welcomed to purchase tickets to attend at www.NCHmd.org/hospitalball. There will also be an opportunity to participate in the auction two weeks prior to the event by bidding on auction items online.
Please join Ciccarelli Advisory Services, Inc. in lending your support for this worthy cause. For more information, contact Monica at the NCH Healthcare Foundation at 239-624-5000.

Turtles on the Town
Ciccarelli Advisory Services, Inc. is pleased to announce our participation in “Turtles on the Town,” a Naples, Florida community arts project featuring 50 loggerhead sea turtle sculptures. These turtles will take up residence at various locations throughout Collier County, including one sculpture at our Florida office, beginning in November 2015 and continuing through February 2016. Local artists have lent their talents in making these sculptures come to life with ocean-based themes.
We’d like to introduce you to our turtle, whom we’ve affectionately named Terrance. His theme is “Under the Sea” and was commissioned to be completed by artist Nancy Job. Nancy hails from Rockford, Illinois but has made Naples, Florida her home for a number of years. Her work has been displayed in many venues including the Von Liebig Art Gallery, the University of Wisconsin and the United Arts Council at Rookery Bay.
Terrance is 4’ high by 4’ wide and weighs about 75 pounds. His design comprises beautiful sea-based hues of blues and greens, reminiscent of the vibrance of the under-water world, with splashes of gold. He is brought to life using various mediums including acrylic, glitter and sea glass. Nancy’s inspiration comes from her passion for landscapes and wildlife. She wanted Terrance to reflect the colors of the sea and the coral reefs, but also sparkle like the sun’s rays reflecting on the ocean’s surface.
The Turtles on the Town Exhibition is ultimately for the benefit of three local charities – the Community Foundation of Collier County, the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, and the United Arts Council of Collier County. Supporters will have an opportunity to bid to purchase their turtle of choice at a Gala to be held at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida on March 9, 2016. For more information on the Turtles on the Town project, please visit http://www.turtlesonthetown.com/
The turtles “hatch” in November 2015. Be sure to stop by our office to meet and “sea” Terrance the Turtle. He will be more than happy to greet you.

Aging Gracefully Conference draws hundreds of women of all ages
Over 250 women were in attendance for the second annual Aging Gracefully: Women’s Wellness Conference which was held on May 9th in Naples, FL. The conference, presented by Absolute Physical Therapy, Ciccarelli Advisory Services, Inc. and Life in Naples Magazine, gave women a chance to network with other women, visit sponsor booths to see what our community has to offer in the area of wellness and hear three inspiring keynote presentations.
Jill Ciccarelli Rapps, CFP® of Ciccarelli Advisory Services, Inc., kicked off the presentation portion of the conference by presenting ‘7 Steps to Your Family’s Financial Success.’ It was not a usual “how to invest and save for the future talk,” but more focused on setting goals, planning, enjoying life and sharing with others. The seven tips gave an overall sense of security, happiness and well-being.
Gaynell Anderson, PT, CSCS of Absolute Physical Therapy of Southwest Florida spoke on ‘Maintaining Optimal Health Through Generations.’ Attendees learned simple tips for exercising, stretching and building body strength, as well as the importance good posture has on entire body health.
The last presentation was delivered by Deb Millsap, executive director of the SWFL Blue Zones Project®. She showcased how the Blue Zones Project®, spearheaded by NCH Healthcare System, will help with ‘Making Healthy Choices Easier’ in Collier County. Millsap encouraged attendees to get involved in making their world a safer, healthier place to live.
The conference, along with speakers and sponsor displays, gave women of all ages a chance to examine their own lives and answer questions that could lead them to a healthier and happier life. Event co-organizer, Jill Ciccarelli Rapps said that this year’s theme, ‘Wisdom through the Generations,’ really represented those powerful lessons that mothers pass to their daughters and granddaughters.
There were a number of sponsors helping to make the event possible. Each one was on-hand with information and/or samples of their products or services. They were: Chico’s and é Bella Magazine, along with A.JARON Fine Jewelry, Advocare Wellness Plan, Between Two Hearts, Beyond Motion, The Cider Press Café, Cloud 9 Float and Spa, Dō Terra Essential Oils, Dr. Bob – The Drugless Doctor, Eyes Wide Open, Here’s Howe Catering, Kerskie Group Inc., Marla Ottenstein – Professional Organizer Florida, McKenney Home Care, N Color Salon + Boutique, Pure Barre Naples, Vi at Bentley Village, Whole Foods, Wynn’s Catering, Wynn’s Healthy Oasis at the YMCA, and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Wisdom through Generations: What’s In Your Family Treasure Chest?
Jill Ciccarelli Rapps | Life in Naples Magazine | February 2015
Wisdom has been regarded as one of four cardinal virtues; and as a virtue, it is a habit or disposition to perform the action with the highest degree of adequacy under any given circumstance. What if we could easily “pay our wisdom forward;” take the responsibility to share our life lessons especially to those in an earlier generation in a way that could make a difference right away? Keeping this in mind, how do we “break” a habit we have developed through our experiences that may not be serving us well and will most likely not serve the future generations? What would your most important life lessons be? What would you like to break away from?
My Father says, “Money is relatively unimportant, but in order to keep it that way you have to have it.” His lesson is that life’s focus should be about family, friends, health, helping others, finding our purpose, and living life to the fullest. By not worrying about money, we have more latitude to focus on what is important in our lives. Thus began my journey to learn more about money; how to grow it, preserve it, and give it away in a meaningful way.
My parents instilled in me that anything is possible if we start with a clear intention. When it comes to managing our money, it is important to have a clear understanding of what we want to accomplish. We should not restrict ourselves by limited thinking or beliefs that don’t serve us. Once we realize that our limited beliefs are just thoughts, that do not really represent who we are, they can be “released”. This can create a whole new awareness helping us to “step” into our “money greatness”.
Once our intentions are clarified, it is a good idea to put a clear roadmap together, so each day we can accomplish a small step towards our goal. This keeps us on track and helps us move forward even when we may have a sense of being overwhelmed.
Although it is important to have an end goal in mind, we should not be attached to the end result. Most likely it is the journey that fulfills our lives. We need to stay flexible during our journey and open for new opportunities. Reason being, it is possible that our end result isn’t really maximizing our best “money self”; there may be other possibilities that show up when we are ready.
Join me at the Aging Gracefully Women’s Wellness Community Conference on May 9th, 2015. I am looking forward to sharing my seven most important life lessons about creating and preserving financial freedom for you and your family.
We invite you to share with us your most important life lesson on social media using the hashtag #lifelessons2015 and we will share them at the conference.
